Account
How do I create an account?
Please note that the RMetS online shop is currently hosted on a separate platform to the RMetS website and they are not linked; if you are logged in to your account on the RMetS website, you will not be automatically logged in on the shop – you will need to create a separate account if you wish to access your order history.
Creating an account is easy – go to https://shop.rmets.org/account/register and enter your details; you will then receive an email asking you to verify your account. Once you have clicked ‘Activate my account’ in the email, you will be taken to the log in screen where you can access your profile and manage your account.
How do I reset my password?
Go to https://shop.rmets.org/account/login and click ‘Forgot your password?’. Enter your email address, click ‘submit’, and you will be sent an email with a link to reset your password.
Orders
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major debit and credit cards. If you wish to pay via PayPal, select this option during checkout and after clicking “Review order”, you will be redirected to PayPal to complete your purchase securely.
Can I send items to multiple addresses?
Unfortunately we do not offer the option to place an order with multiple delivery addresses. If you wish to send items to multiple addresses, you will need to place each order separately.
How do I add a discount code?
You can apply a valid discount code to your order during the checkout process in the box provided.
Members of the Society are entitled to a 20% discount on shop items. Log in to your dashboard at www.rmets.org to find the latest discount code.
How do international payments work?
Addresses outside of the UK will be charged for in their local currency. If you prefer to pay in GBP please contact info@rmet.org with details of the delivery address and what you are ordering, and we will send you a link where you can pay in GBP.
Can I make changes to my order once I’ve placed it?
We cannot guarantee that we will be able to make changes to your order once it has been placed, but if you contact us as soon as possible after placing your order to advise of the changes required we will advise if we are able to accommodate them.
What do I do if there is a problem with my order?
If you have any concerns regarding an order, please contact us.
Delivery
When can I expect my delivery?
All shop orders are sent via Royal Mail’s standard delivery service. Unfortunately we cannot offer alternative delivery services for specified dates.
You will receive an email to advise when your order has been dispatched.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Shipping costs will be calculated during the checkout process once you have entered the delivery address. International deliveries are sent via Royal Mail’s standard service.
Who pays customs charges?
For international customers, you may incur local Import Duty and Taxes which you will be asked to pay prior to delivery of your order. Fees for customs declarations and import VAT will usually be collected by the shipping companies responsible for transporting the goods. The amount of VAT payable will depend on the category of goods and their value. We cannot be held responsible for these charges.
